Euphoria Lane Business District
Game info
Residential Area

As we all are aware we haven't seen Diagon Alley to it's full extent in canon. We know that it's behind The Leaky Cauldron, and accessed from Charring Cross road. We also know that it's also an extremely large shopping hub where most witches and wizards in the UK do their shopping. For the sake of accommodating Euphoria Lane, we're going to assume that Diagon Alley branches off into numerous other streets and access ways. Like Knockturn Alley, Euphoria branches off of the main Diagon Alley. It accommodates shoppes and businesses, but more importantly it accommodates living spaces for the city bred witch or wizard.

Because we're not based in Diagon Alley we've decided that we'll compile a list of additional shoppes and vendors for our game on Euphoria Lane. You'll notice that Game Canon shoppes will be mentioned throughout the Activities post, as well as in threads, and Prophet Articles. This is to aid players and mods from avoiding overlapping locations in game. Players are encouraged to add to this list as they see fit. If you mention a new location in Euphoria be sure to point it out to a mod so it can be added to the list above.

Quick Map: As of right now you're just viewing a "section" of Euphoria that holds our resident buildings. Assume the lane continues both to the west and northeast for quite some time. Also pretend the order of buildings makes sense. Be aware that as we add buildings to accommodate more characters and scenarios the map will be adjusted as would be appropriate.

Bldg 4 - Chip's Chippery
Owned by Saul T. Chip, Chip's Chippery is a great little shop to grab yourself fresh-hot chips prepared in a variety of ways. With a Belgian influence, chips (or "pomme frites") are served piping hot, topped the way you like inside a large cone. However, don't ask for ketchup or you'll be kicked out of the shop. These on-the-go chips are the best in the area and a hit with everyone. But the Chippery isn't all chips. They also serve the best in traditional and quick English fare: Fish 'n Chips, Sausage Rolls, Mince Pies, and much more. The prices are fair, and everything is made fresh daily. You can eat in at a small table with a couple of friends or you can take-away.

Bldg 15 - Cozy Feet
Cozy feet is a wizarding shoe store with various walls of footwear to choose from. They supply the latest trends, styles, and even the old fashioned stuff for every sized pocket book. There are usually 3 sales representatives present at all times willing to help customers find sizes and/or styles.

Bldg 17 - Presto Pasta!
This little eatery is a small Italian take-away joint that makes your food when you order it. They're fast and efficient and allow you to mix and match pastas, sauces and a variety of choices to make your perfect pasta dish, whatever your craving. They also have a variety of lasagna to choose from. Equipped with a selection of appetizers and desserts, this is your one-stop spot for a twisted and comprehensive "Italian" meal. There are, of course, rather unique avenues to go with your pick-and-choose. The prices depend on the extravagant approach you take to your pasta, but anything that's already prepared tends to be reasonable. They're open from mid-day to midnight.

Bldg 23 - Jolly Enchantments (Toy Store)
Jolly's is best known for it's fantastic window display of pricey toys. Groups of children crowded around the front of the store stary eyed and drooling isn't uncommon. Unfortunately their prices are a little steep, but they claim to have the best enchanted toys in the world. There are usually 2 sales representatives present with the owner, Enid Jolly.

Bldg 30 - Magic Carpet Indian Takeaway
This takeaway, owned by the eternally grumpy Ali Datar, makes up for what it lacks in customer service by excelling both at speed & taste. Their chicken tikka masala is not to be competed with in any restaurant Muggle or Wizard, and some people swear that their tandoori meats are the best in the city. Every purchase is served with Naan bread, and there are a selection of fruit drinks, dozens of curries, basmati rice, and other dishes that can be mixed and matched to suit your fancy.

Lot 30a - Dodderidge Park (Between Bldg 30 and 31)
Need some air away from Muggle eyes? Dodderidge park has a lake, lots of trees, and large open spaces for children to ride toy broomsticks and wizards and witches to practice spells. It's not the wilds, but if you're a lover of the outdoors stuck in the big city, it'll do!

Bldg 31 - Beats by Beaters
This record store is owned by Muggleborn retired Quidditch Beater star, Lawrence Wilbanks, famous for his excellent aim for the Wigtown Wanderers. Although he's long since been out of the sport, Wilbanks still draws a steady crowd in to see all the Quidditch memorabilia he's got plastered to the walls of his store. The store itself is a fine mix of wizarding and Muggle music, with a large 'used' section for bargain-seekers. A bunch of music snobs work here alongside Wilbanks, so expect whatever you buy to be made fun of. However, they're excellent at recommending different bands for you to try based on your likes and dislikes.

Bldg 33 - Utopia
Next door to Beats By Beaters is a discreet brick storefront with only two small windows. The windows are lit, but for the sake of the modesty of nearby shoppers who do not intend to enter a charm prevents anything from being seen through them. Anyone under 17 years of age who attempts to enter the store (through any entrance, standard or created) will find him or herself booted squarely back into the street. That is because this very non-threatening front hides a smorgasbord of sexual delight within. Step inside and peruse products to aid the pursuit of creative sensuality...but for the really exciting stuff, you'll have to take the staircase to the lower level.

Bldg 40 - The Imperial War Museum: Magical Branch
The Imperial War Museum in London is one of the best museums chronicling wars, both recent and in the past. This equivalent of the Muggle museum focuses strictly upon wizarding wars that have been fought in the past 400 years. With a cafe, a gift store, and several wings of source material, this is an excellent (if sobering) way to spend the afternoon. There are five main wings to this museum currently open to the public: the first focuses on wars between the years of 1600-1750, with specific focus upon the colonial period. The second wing details wars from 1751 - 1930. The third wing deals with war against Grindelwald, as well as wizarding involvement with the Muggle WWII. The fourth wing discusses the first war against Voldemort, and the fifth showcases wizarding art depicting war and its consequences. A sixth additional wing is currently being built to chronicle the second war against Voldemort, and isn't yet open to the public.

Bldg 49 - Charming You!
This store is for all the home-improvement charms you need to do, but can't quite figure out. Trained charm experts are here to help you create gorgeous dining-room ceilings mimicking the night sky, modern-design see-through tables made of the heaviest oak, and candle flames that change colors depending upon the time of day. Prices aren't cheap, but the quality is excellent. Debbie Runcorn works here.

Bldg 55 - Cultivation
An upscale herbologists' supply store that deals with the distribution of magical plants to and from other stores. Direct-sale to individual customers is also allowed. Cultivation has both common magical plants as well as access to far more rare ones. Pansy Parkinson works here as a secretary.

Bldg 57 - Creature Feature
Your one stop pet shop in Euphoria Lane. They not only carry any magical creatures (that are legal to own) that you could want but also mundane critters. The large, friendly staff consists of younger clerks and a handful of older specialists. The store aims to meet all your animal needs, be it choosing the right familiar, diagnosing an ailing pet, or just providing any special supplies. They feature their own premium, pet preferred (apparently) line of pet food and toys.

Bldg 60 - Matty's
A local grocers, Matty's is a magical chain that can be found all over England and Ireland. Matty's has a wide selection of fresh produce and packaged goods, although their meat selection leaves something to be desired. Little old ladies clog the aisles on Sundays because Sundays is Matty's coupon day where several items are 30% off.

Bldg 66 - Tracey's Couture
An upscale clothing botique specializing on his and hers adult formal wear and gowns. From little black dresses, cocktail dresses, formal ball gowns, suits and tuxes, the shop caters to those special occassions. Over the years the botique has grown to include casual wear for men and women, teen fashions, children's clothes, and most recently toddler and baby clothing as well. Shoes, handbags, and jewelry are sold to complete the looks with coordinating accessories. Tracey uses only the finest of materials, employs only the best of seamstresses, and the quality of the clothing is top notch - and the price is certainly top dollar.

Bldg 70 - Fly Me to the Moon
Fly Me to the Moon is an elegant (without being extravagant) Italian restaurant on the Lane. Meals are moderately priced and yet are some of the best Italian fare in London. It is an intimate but decently sized dining room with statues, plants and fountains littered in little oasis-style throughout the room. There is a small stage with a piano, and there are lounge singers every evening. It's a great place for a first date, second date, or even just a meal on your own. Coat check available, walk-ins welcome, but make reservations on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Bldg 72 - In the Cards
This is your one stop shoppe for all your Divination needs. Books, cards, runes, tea, tea cups, crystal balls, they're all on display. Prices range from affordable to very expensive. Rumour has it that the owner - Lavender Brown - used her Sight to catch Fenrir Greyback in April 2004, and she did get an Order of Merlin (which is on the wall). On-site tarot, palm, tea leaves, and crystal ball readings.

Bldg 75 - Marigold Marriages
Tired of dealing with caterers, venues, and what colour your bridesmaids robes should be? Marigold Marriages is here for you. Whatever your need, whether it be simple discussion of options or a fully catered wedding, owner Parvati Patil is ready to help you find the wedding of your dreams. Stop by for a consultation. After all, you only get married once! (We hope!)

Bldg 88 - Fantastic Furnishings
Everyone needs furniture, but Fantastic Furnishings caters more to the picky upper class. Instead of buying your furniture already made, you just have to come into Fantastic Furnishings, pick out the details you want from a catalog of options, and your furniture will be delivered to you within a week. It costs more than the pre-fab stuff, but you want to be unique in your furnishings, don't you? There are usually two clerks in the store to take orders and help clients decide what they want, then they send the orders off to the factory -- wherever that is!

Bldg 94 - Euphoria Lane Library
This general lending library has a stock of over 35,000 volumes. While aiming at a good general subject coverage, there are also small collections of children's books and a special interest in local history of Wizarding London. Hours are 10.00 to 18.30. Euphoria Lane Library has two reading groups which both meet once a month for an hour; Monday evenings at 17.30 and Thursday lunchtimes at 13.00. Children's programmes are Tuesday afternoon at 14.00.

Bldg 95 - Wild Thyme Catering
Do you have a stressed friend in dire need of a dozen chocolate éclairs? Or do you want to cook your significant other a fancy dinner but find you can't even boil water? Or do you just want to give that record release party the flavour it deserves? Wild Thyme has you covered, whether you pick up, owl order or go all out with wait service. Stop by and work out a custom menu for your event today.

Bldg 97 - Eakington Glassware’s
They sale various glass and crystal materials. Trinkets, crystal balls, dinnerware, picture frames, and other such things. There's a sign on the door that says "All Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult." Their prices vary from affordable to outrageous. There's usually only 1 clerk working the store at a time.

Bldg 100 - Asphodel, Belladonna, and Caterpillars Apothecary
A relatively new but so far successful apothecary that is charmingly nicknamed The ABCs, it offers all of your most common and more unique potions ingredients as well as the potions themselves at reasonable prices. Owl delivery is offered to customers that would rather not come into the shop due to busy schedules, lethargy, or anonymity. Owned by Michael Corner, he can almost always be seen around the shop or in the back work room.

Bldg 103 - Angry Dragon Pub & Inn
Owned by a uni-browed wizard of a gruff exterior the Pub frequents a number of Gringott's employees. It's not uncommon to see Goblin's attending pints and talking shop with the occasional wizard. The lighting is darker than most and the air thick with various pipe, cigarette, cigar smokes. There are 27 rooms that are available for visitors at 7 galleons a night. The foods not half bad, but they only serve ales, meads, and beers - none of the fruity umbrella stuff

Bldg 105 - The Black Cat Pub
This pub is the newest to open on Euphoria Lane, but you wouldn't know it by stepping inside. The owners and decorators of this pub have made it their mission to make their patrons feel as if they've stepped back into the 1920s, a glamorous time of wealth, extravagance, and beauty. Crystal chandeliers are juxtaposed with the fleur-de-lis wrought iron decorations which separate tables and rooms, and while everyone from every class can come in, it's obviously catering to a crowd more upscale than Kelly's. The finest imported beers are on tap, and it's got an excellent wine listing as well. Not to imply that The Black Cat is hoity-toity - but there won't be any karaoke night here, mate. It's a much better place to settle in with a few close friends than to come in large, rowdy groups. There are also rumours of a few secret, exclusive rooms hidden away for very special patrons... but that's got to be a load of bollocks, right?

Bldg 107 - A Million & 1 Ice-Creame Parlour
Self explanatory. It's a new Ice-Creame Parlour that hopes to give Florean Fortescue's a run for it's money. The interior is decked in an excess of primary colours. They cater more toward children than adults in their advertising and specials. Their workers are friendly and seem to always have a welcoming exterior.

Bldg 112 - All Our Cauldrons
A Cauldron Shoppe, that always seems to have new potion "demonstrations" every week. They tend to sell packages for every potionere's wants and needs. But they run into problems when customers want individual purchases as opposed to "lump" packaged deals. There are usually two clerks working the shoppe, while a hired potionere demonstrates a new potions from some new book. They like to use the sales pitch; "You can't make this potion in any other cauldron."

Bldg 120 - Honeydukes - Euphoria Lane Branch
This branch of Hogsmeade's eternally popular sweet shoppe opened in the summer of 2003 to spectacular sales. The scent of their infamous fudge wafts down the Lane every time they make a new batch daily. They're always busy, and their prices are always reasonable. Sometimes, even moreso than usual.

Bldg 137 - The Zen of Art
This is Euphoria Lane's hidden jewel. Inside you will find art supplies of every sort imaginable - magical and Muggle alike - along with books on art. And what they don't have, the owners, a middle-aged hippie couple called Anya and Angus McTavish, will be pleased to find for you! Every afternoon at 4.30 they serve high tea (open and free to the public - a small donation to cover food expenses is welcome but absolutely NOT necessary) and every Monday night they hold a community meditation session. Everyone is invited and afterwards is a social hour. Every other month a guest artist holds a three-day workshop or lecture which is free to the public. You can also find a limited selection of herbal teas, health foods, and incense.

Bldg 217 - Zaffing Photography
Zaffing's is a small portrait studio that caters to family oriented "professional" wizarding photographs. Their display window has 15 photographs hanging on a large black backdrop. Their prices are a bit steep but the quality is superb. They offer in studio sessions and on location sessions depending on the customer's preference. The studio is run by a generally friendly couple, Marge and Wilson Zaffing.

Bldg 218 - Moon & Sun Cafe
A small cafe that's more for counter service than a sit down place. They have a few tables inside and add more outside when it's warm enough. Typically it's for fast and convenient "cafe services" than a place frequented for lunch dates.

Bldg 219 - Walster's Books
A small bookstore that specializes in antique books. Their known for having books in stock that are no longer published and because of this their prices are exceptionally high. The clerk changes between the owner, Mr. William Walsters, and his daughter Judy. Both of them seem to know the publishing history of each book in the store.

Bldg 221 - Inglestone Crystals
They sell an array of Crystal items. They specialize in divination crystals and products, but they also stock crystal trinkets in the back. They too are on the high side, but their products are usually rare enough to be bought at high prices. The clerk is usually a quiet elder man who goes by the name of Franklin.

Bldg 227 - Dough Re Mi
With products slightly less corny than the name, Dough Re Mi specializes in baked carbohydrates of all size, color, and taste. Its primary baker has been imported from Italy and is paid well enough to deal with the unpleasant temperament of the owner - one Mr. Warrington. It probably also helps that he can't speak a word of English, though this forces the other staff (also paid more than the average wage slaves to put up with The Boss) to communicate with him in a crude sign language. At the end of the day, though, the products are of the finest quality and lowest price.

Bldg 240 - The Magic Bean
This wizarding coffee shoppe specialises in all of those frou-frou coffees, teas, and desserts. The decor is quite bland -- think Starbucks -- but their drinks are divine. Most have potion-options for a small extra price, and the Zapuccinos (a tasty frozen beverage with a big of a Zing! and a Zap! are a patron favourite. This shoppe is the first to open on Euphoria Lane, and one of the last to close.

Bldg 250 - Spellbound Preschool
Spellbound Preschool is aimed for witch and wizard tykes from ages 3-7 that focuses on teaching them the fundamentals of education. Rather than teaching magic to the children, they learn about spelling, mathematics, and (most importantly) how to finger paint and colour inside the lines. Staring during the summer of 2004, it will start to act as something of a daycare center for the children. Rather than actually teaching the children, they focus more on having fun and playing games at the park than being inside the classroom itself. Hours are from 8:00 until 15:00 every weekday.

Bldg 300 - Euphoria Lane Day Spa & Salon
Euphoria Lane Day Spa & Salon is just the place for pampering. With a full range of services from the affordable to the outrageous, the Day Spa & Salon cares about nothing more than pampering you until you glow. Nails, hair removal, facials, massages, mineral baths, and more, there is something for women and men both. Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are allowed if there's room.

Bldg 317 - New Moon Night Club
New Moon is a wizarding night club that frequents a swarm of young witches and wizards looking to meet and greet new people, drink, dance, and other such party activities. It’s become popular for being one of the first places rising musical talent in the wizarding world have their first "concert" following a wireless hit. They open at 6:30PM and close at 4AM. Their bar is stocked with every alcoholic beverage possible. There are 2 male and 2 female bartenders dressed in black who serve drinks at all times. There's a 150 customer holding limit.

Bldg 345 - Walrus Willy's Carpet Gallery
They sell carpets of all styles, shapes, colours, and species. Because they hold animal skin carpets they occasionally have problems with animal right's activities egging buildings or protesting outside of the shoppe. They've been known to hire freelance hit-wizards to play security. There are usually 2 clerks working the store at a time.

Bldg 360 - Kelly's
Kelly's is a wizard equivalent of a sports-pub. A fairly unpretentious drinking establishment where the waitress knows your name and you can always get the Quidditch match on the wireless, and maybe even the Muggle football game if you swing that way. The walls are decorated in various images of wizarding sports heroes and legends. Wednesday Night Team Trivia, Thursday Night Karaoke. Seamus Finnigan and Megan Jones are employed here.

Euphoria Lane - The Cupcake Cart
The Cupcake Cart is exactly as it seems. It's a rolling cart stuffed with cupcakes. Topped with a bright, multi-coloured, polka-dot umbrella, the cupcake cart is run by Gertrude Munchins, more commonly known as 'The Cupcake Witch', a sweet old lady that loves to spoil children and adults alike with her little confectionary cakes. Gertrude is quite a cupcake master, offering the most basic vanilla and rainbow sprinkles cupcake to the elaborate cookie-monster cupcake or the most decadent and intricate cupcake you've ever seen! A little masterpiece! With a vast variety of cupcakes to offer, The Cupcake Witch is sure to satisfy the tastebuds of even the pickiest sweet tooth (so long as you have one). Also, if you can manage to scarf down one of her infamous Chocolate Cup of Doom cupcakes, she'll give you two dozen cupcakes of your choosing for free -- only three people have ever managed to get through it!
